Well-defined facial features, such as the cheekbones or chin, give your face an impactful and more youthful appearance. Unfortunately, there is no denying that facial features begin to soften as you age. This can cause a lack of facial definition that causes you to look older.
Have you felt like your facial features are weak and all blend in together? Do you desire to have stronger features or a more structured appearance? Dr. Corbin offers chin and cheek implants to give you the youthful definition you wish to achieve.
Why Should You Consider Cheek or Chin Implants?
Cheek and chin implants can restore a youthful vitality to your face. Dr. Corbin can provide you with better-defined facial features and better balance and proportion to your facial structure. He can also create a more noticeable transition between your lower face and your neck and even give you more fullness in your cheeks.
The surgery is also extremely effective when performed in tandem with other facial procedures, such as a facelift, rhinoplasty, or a brow lift.
Cheek implants are inserted through the mouth by making an incision on the inside of the cheek. Dr. Corbin then places each silicone implant through this opening, where he will be able to easily position the implants, taking great care to ensure symmetry before closing your incisions.
Chin implants are also inserted through the mouth. Dr. Corbin will usually make an incision at the juncture of your lower teeth and lower lip. Sometimes, he will use an incision under the chin, depending on your specific needs and whether you are receiving additional procedures.
Recovery and Results
You will likely experience swelling and bruising immediately following the procedure. This will subside within the first week, at which point Dr. Corbin will typically remove the bandages. Actions that involve the cheek and chin, such as smiling or chewing, may be uncomfortable for a few weeks. As your body heals and you become accustomed to the implants, these effects will subside. You should avoid touching your implants for at least one month following the procedure, and final results are usually apparent after three to four months.
